The SPH4U – Grade 12 Physics course enables students to deepen their understanding of fundamental physics concepts and theories. Students will explore a range of advanced topics, including energy transformations, forces affecting motion, and the interactions of gravitational, electric, and magnetic fields. Additionally, this course introduces students to the wave nature of light, quantum mechanics, and Einstein’s theory of special relativity.

Through inquiry-based learning, students will develop essential scientific investigation skills, both qualitative and quantitative. They will learn to analyze data, apply problem-solving techniques, and assess the impact of technological applications of physics on society and the environment. This course is designed for students who are preparing for post-secondary studies in science, engineering, and related fields.
