Grade 12 Kinesiology (PSK4U): Understanding Human Movement and Health
Prepare for a Future in Health Sciences, Physical Education, and Sports

The PSK4U course is a university/college preparation course. To enroll, students must have completed any Grade 11 university (U) or university/college (M) science course, or any Grade 11 or 12 course in health and physical education.
The PSK4U – Introduction to Kinesiology course offers students a comprehensive overview of human movement and development, integrating concepts from anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, psychology, and sociology. This course examines how and why the human body moves, the effects of physical activity on health and performance, and how social and psychological factors shape participation in sport and exercise.
Through engaging lessons and practical applications, students explore the evolution of sport, the science of movement, and the connections between physical activity and lifelong wellness. This course is ideal for students planning to pursue post-secondary studies in kinesiology, health sciences, physical education, recreation, or sports administration.
