The CLN4U – Canadian and International Law course offers students the opportunity to explore the legal foundations of Canada and how international law intersects with domestic legislation. Through the examination of historical and philosophical roots of law, human rights, conflict resolution, and global legal systems, students will gain a deeper understanding of how laws influence and reflect societal values both in Canada and globally.

This university/college preparation course is ideal for students interested in law, political science, criminology, international relations, or global studies. Students will develop the critical thinking, research, and communication skills needed to analyze legal principles and evaluate the impact of law on individuals, communities, and nations.

To enroll in this course, students must have completed any Grade 11 university (U) or university/college (M) preparation course in Social Science and Humanities, English, or Canadian and World Studies.
