Continuing Education & Enrichment Programs

We will assist foreign educated nurses (LPN, RN, Midwives) to learn about the Canadian healthcare system, and can proceed with registration through the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority through an accredited NACC Personal Support Worker (PSW) program in Ontario in collaboration with partner institutions.

This course provides an in-depth exploration of the historical and theoretical aspects of child development. Students will examine physical, cognitive, language, and socio-emotional growth across the lifespan, with a focus on early childhood. Key topics include developmental theories, genetic and environmental influences, and strategies to support diverse learning needs.

The Career Workshop for caregivers is designed to provide domestically and internationally trained pharmacists and pharmacy assistants with an orientation to the pharmacy system in Ontario. The workshops will cover information related to the health systems in Ontario, and the standards of practice in the pharmacy industry.

The Live-in Caregiver certificate program equips learners with the skills and competence to provide essential physical, psychological and social support to vulnerable individuals. The breadth of topics covered in the program will help prepare graduates to work with various groups of individuals including group homes and day service programs. The caregiver will be able to gain essential skills, including knowledge of Canadian Culture, interpersonal communication and organization skills.
